Why Community?

Kink is more fun when you don't have to figure out everything by yourself!

Being part of a community can mean finding people who understand an important part of you without requiring you to explain or hide it. You can learn from folks with and share your own knowledge, make friends, gain experience and confidence, and even discover interests you might never have encountered on your own.

Community also gives us something we can't create by ourselves: a network of people who can share information, look out for one another, welcome newcomers, and carry that knowledge forward. You will always have to learn some things through your own experience. But you don't have to reinvent the wheel.

OPEN Kink is about building those connections and helping create a community that can continue to thrive even as people, events, and venues change.
